Chaka Khan and Louie Vega confirmed for DStv Food & Music fest!

The American Queen of Funk, Chaka Khan, is coming to South Africa in June for the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival, and she will be joined by the father of house the ‘little’ Louie Vega.

Over 20 000 revelers made it to Emmaranetia Dam last year, and this time organizers have now opted for Waterfall Polo Estate, Midrand- Johannesburg on June 6, in anticipation for more crowd. Does this has to do with the traffic nightmare, just a thought?

“DStv is excited and honoured to be the first to bring an iconic woman such as Chaka Khan to our shores in almost two decades,” says Colleen Goodman, the head of retention for DStv. “Our subscribers can attest to the fact that she has been the soundtrack to their childhoods and many more memories. To see her live, surely is a life-long dream for many.”

Both Khan and Vega have been to SA in the past and their popularity never cease to amaze.

On the food installment, Culinary celebrities include MasterChef South Africa judge Pete Goffe-Wood, and the Food Network stars Jenny Morris, Siba Mtongana and Reza Mahammad at the Food Network pavilion.

We had 20,000 high-end consumers through our doors last year along with some blue-chip brands in the food business including big media brands like BBC Lifestyle and Food Network, says organizer Lloyd Cornwall.

Yes, music and food do mix, finish & klaar!

The DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival presented by Nedbank, is held in proud association with Ticketpro, NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto, Castle Milk Stout, Kaya FM and Mitsubishi Motors.
