Cruising along. Seychelles minister of Tourism Alain St.Ange and Mauritius deputy Prime Minister Xavier -Luc Duval at the meeting to conclude the Cruise Ship Development plan.

The delegation from Seychelles was headed by minister of Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange, who upon meeting Xavier-Luc Duval, the Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius, agreed developments should begin in attracting thousands of visitors anticipated for the Cruise Ship development.

“Mauritius and Seychelles have both worked together within the Vanilla islands to ensure that the Indian Ocean is recognized as the new Cruise Ship Destination as this region offers diversity not found anywhere else,” read the statement from the office of minister.

The meeting also saw the participation of Pascal Viroleau, the CEO of the Vanilla Islands, who strongly believes this was an opportunity to have an update on the successes made by the regional organization in the cruise ship market, among others.

At the time of publishing it was unconfirmed when will the production begin.

Meanwhile, in South Africa, the Cruise Ship tourism is still in its infancy stage and it is hoped this will propel the industry leaders to fast track it as it brings millions of rands in the tourism sector.
