IFP Caucus Leader in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, Bonginkosi Dhlamini said: “We have been robbed of a dedicated, tenacious and hardworking man in blue who fought relentlessly to cut down on the excruciating violent crime levels in Gauteng over his almost 10 years tenure as Gauteng provincial commissioner.”
“As we mourn his death the IFP in Gauteng would like to commend the ex-commissioner for the solid foundation he built within the SAPS through his extraordinary leadership, commitment and faithfulness in serving the people of Gauteng,” he said.
Dhlamini said, “It is important for the SAPS in Gauteng to carry on where this exceptional individual left off and serve the province with diligence and compassion since those are some of the intellectual values that the ex-commissioner espoused in his work.”
“On behalf of the IFP in Gauteng I would like to convey our sincerest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. May they take heart during this difficult and challenging period,” concluded Dhlamini.
