Jamiroquai are a British acid jazz band formed in 1992 led by Jay Kay.
The Grammy award winner band has sold over 40million albums globally. To share their expertise they will share the stage with our own Kabomo, Lira, Danny K, Khuli Chana, Prime Circle, Household Funk and BlackByrd, Dj QB Smith, Dj Kenzero, Sai & Ribatone, Maleh and Mi Casa at Blue Hills Equestrian Estate, Midrand in October from 5 to 6.
Described as the music festival for food lovers or a food festival for music lovers -this is the fest not to be missed. The 2-day musical line-up features 5 celebrity chefs and 8 marquees.
From the musical front to food-don’t we love that- international and local chefs will be showing off their culinary, what they’re capable of as they display their expertise. Aha.
UK celebrity chefs Aldo Zilli, Ed Baines and John Burton Race showcase their signature dishes at their own pop-up restaurants.
These include; Aldo Zilli’s San Carlo Cicchetti, Ed Baines’ Randall and Aubin, as well as John Burton Race’s The John Burton Race Experience.
Amidst a fast growing trend of ‘foodies’ in SA – DStv shows such as MasterChef and Come Dine with Me have become firm favourites with local viewers.
Since this being a family outing kids are not left behind. Child-friendly areas hosted by “DStv Kids” will be available and will feature various activities for the young ones, amongst others.
According to the organisers, three international pop-up restaurants, San Carlo Cicchetti, Randall & Aubin and The John Burton Race Experience, will provide patrons with the opportunity to experience their fine cuisine first hand while enjoying live music from a raised vantage point overlooking the crowd.
These restaurants will take bookings for lunch and dinner sittings daily; and with limited seats available, they are expected to sell out fast!
In addition to the pop-up restaurants, there will also be a huge artisan food market encompassing a vast array of African, European and pan-Asian cuisine. Many of these are already firm favourites for local market lovers.
If, and only if, Jamiroquai doesn’t know the best African cuisine we provide they should brace themselves for a fiesta in the SA, stru!
VIP Hospitality Experience cost R1 850 per head, which includes VIP parking with concierge care, access to the VIP lounge, a welcome drink, three course meal in one of the three international restaurants of your choice, bottle of wine and coffee.
Tickets are available through Computicket for R380 per day with children under 12 R100 a day and children under 3 free. Mahala.
