Change because 2020 is an extraordinary year for all, and particularly for
matriculants -thanks to the pandemic that has made us change how we live,
change how we do things and change how they have to write their exams.
A record of more than one-million Grade12s will sit for their National
Senior Certificate exams, nationally.
According to Gauteng MEC for education Panyaza Lesufi, as the department

have made all required means such as adherence to Covid-19 to be up to
standard.
He did however, indicate those with Covid-19 symptoms will either write
exams in ‘sanitised special rooms’ or sit for their exams next year as
supplementary.
“We cannot take a chance when coming to adherence because it means we will
compromise other students, teachers and their families. We shall not,” he
pointed out strongly.
