Premiered in Johannesburg last night, ‘Plot For Peace’ tells an untold story about the end of apartheid.
The film was produced by the Ichikowitz Family Foundation and forms part of their African Oral History Archive, the Foundation’s heritage preservation initiative that provides a platform for Africans to tell their own stories, thus safeguarding our dynamic history for future generations.
In its tribute to 20 years of democracy this year, the Foundation provided access to hundreds of testimonies of those figures who were instrumental in shaping Africa’s modern history.
Are we ready for these stories? And what does heritage preservation do for a country with a past like ours?
‘Plot for Peace’ will open for a one week theatrical release at the Cinema Nouveau in Rosebank On Friday, August 1st and runs until Thursday 7th.
Tickets will be available online and at the cinema.
