Mardi Gras- this years’ theme for the Met horse-race

IT’S ALL system go for the Cape Town Met 2023

This gallops at the Kenilworth Racecourse, on January 28, ‘Mother City’ where over thousands of punters and guests will experience par excellence of horse-racing in a bid to collect a cool R2million at stake.

This year’s theme is coined ‘Mardi Gras’ and is proudly sponsored by World Sport Betting (WBS).

The 2023 Met will present first-class racing, hospitality and entertainment on the day.

Asked what persuaded the deal, WSB believes passion and commitment to invest in SA horse racing, was the main reason.

“It is through events like this that horse racing gets exposure amongst more of a mainstream market.”

The company also pointed out that it’s roots are in horse racing and it is “very popular amongst our customers”.

We can confidently say that our horse racing product is one of the most competitive in the category with unrivalled odds, it said.

Although the deal was pencilled for three-years, WSB confirmed talks are at advanced stage for renewal.

“Our sponsorship of this event gives us access to all punters on the day with WSB totes set up throughout the venue. The brand exposure also aids in WSB being top of mind for casual horse racing enthusiasts,” says the company on expected ROIs.

There are multiple ticket package options to suit every guest. This year promises to be an extravaganza packed with surprise big name music artists, celebrity guest appearances, and outrageous couture.

Tickets start from R150 per person. The fun begins from 11am until 10pm on January 28- ‘as you Unmask the Magic for the grand carnival finale’.
