#BETheVoice campaign in support of youth on diversity & inclusion

The virtual seminar will take place on 15th June 2021.

This event is one way of supporting and amplifying global initiatives launched in the past few years. There has been a global surge in public focus on and commitment to gender rights and diversity and inclusion (D&I) in the workplace; from the #MeToo and #BlackLivesMatter movements, and calls for equal pay, to CEOs publicly weighing in on the importance of this issue through initiatives such as the #WeSeeEqual summit and CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion Pledge.

Webinar patrons can expect action-packed sessions filled with empowering talks, and robust panel discussions related to gender diversity and inclusivity issues by some of South Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa’s renowned individuals who are passionate about creating a gender balanced continent both economically and socially. Speakers include:

Refilwe Modiselle – Africa’s successful model, and award-winning actress, born with albinism and Zulaikah Patel – South African anti-racism activist are among the esteemed speakers of the day.

All4Youth SSA’s primary objective is to create and implement employability programmes, mentorship and training initiatives that will equip the youth with essential workplace skills.  

The ambition is to support 1 million young people by 2022 through capacity building, increase employability chances by focusing on career path, work readiness, mentoring and coaching.

How it works?

Four-week campaign to get 1000 attendees to join #TheVoice virtual event.

A platform for young people to engage in dialogue with social activists, communities from – cultural aspects, body positivity, disabilities, gender inclusion and structural challenges. #TheVoice will encourage conversations of an inclusive society and diversity in the workplace. 

An opportunity for young people to submit proposals that outline social inclusion & diversity programmes and share their voices. The best proposal will stand a chance to present their idea to the alliance and win a prize to support their charity or project for diversity & inclusion.
