Boks cement relationship with AfriSam

ITS all about new deals and extensions within the Springboks family.

This week, AfriSam extended its partnership with Rugby World Champs Springboks for another three-years’.

As the official cement and concrete sponsor, AfriSam will now support not only the world-champion Springboks but the Springbok Women, Springbok Sevens men and women, as well as the Junior Springbok teams.

What informed the extension of the deal, according to Maxine Nel, head of corporate communication at AfriSam, commented thus: “AfriSam acknowledges the important role sport plays in building a stronger South Africa.

As a longstanding partner to SA Rugby and in line with our commitment to empowering sport, we are proud that our support will now extend to all SA Rugby national teams and development structures, including not only the world-champion Springboks, but also the Springbok Women, Springbok Sevens men and women as well as the Junior Springbok teams.

This provides AfriSam with the opportunity to support the future of rugby in our country.  Ultimately, this extended partnership underscores AfriSam’s dedication to building a stronger South Africa,” she said.

The agreement reinforces AfriSam’s dedication to the strength, resilience and excellence that define both South African rugby and AfriSam’s industry-leading products.

Rian Oberholzer, CEO of SA Rugby, welcomed AfriSam’s ongoing support: “We are delighted to have AfriSam renew and extend its partnership with us.

Their commitment to excellence mirrors the high-performance standards we set for our teams. With their support, we can continue to build a strong and sustainable rugby ecosystem in South Africa.”

This strengthened partnership underscores AfriSam’s dedication to building a stronger South Africa—on and off the field.

“We are thrilled to continue our journey with SA Rugby and the Springboks,” said Eric Diack, Chief Executive Officer at AfriSam.

“Rugby embodies teamwork, perseverance and strength—values that are deeply aligned with our business. By expanding our partnership, we aim to contribute to the growth and success of rugby at all levels, ensuring that South African teams continue to build on their legacy of excellence.”

Asked if AfriSam logo will be displayed on the jersey of all teams or it will be more of activations when the team plays, Nel responded:” No. AfriSam will not appear on the jersey. Yes, our sponsorship includes, amongst other things, brand and activation exposure.”

Boks also signed a new partnership deal with Monster Energy.
