Boxing legend Peter “Terror” Mathebula’s wife also succumbs to death

She departed at the period when her family were still mourning husband Peter.

The sad news were confirmed by the Department of Sport and Recreation, Gauteng Provincial Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, Rand West City Local Municipality and Boxing South Africa.

She passed away on a day when the nation was to celebrate the life of her late husband in a memorial service that was meant to take place in the afternoon of Thursday, 23 January 2020.

“The joint memorial service of both Mr and Mrs Mathebula is scheduled for Sunday, 26 January 2020 from 13H00 – 16H00 at Ramosa Hall.

The joint funeral service is therefore scheduled for Tuesday, 28 January 2020 with the service commencing at 07H00 – 10H00 at Ramosa Hall.

The funeral procession will then depart to Green Hills Cemetery to the final resting place for Mr and Mrs Mathebula,” according to the department of sport and recreation.

Nathi Mthethwa, minister of sport had this week paid the family a visit.

He was accompanied by Boxing SA officials Peter Ngatane and Tsholofelo Lejaka to pay their respects.
