HARDLY hours after naming new coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, Orlando Pirates unveil new jersey.
The official Home and Away for the 25/26 football season, was unveiled by both the club and its international sportwear brand Adidas.
Blending tradition with innovation and paying tribute to the vibrant spirit of Johannesburg, it continues a proud tradition, as the new Home jersey retains its iconic black base, elegantly accented with classic white and striking red details, symbolizing the strength and passion synonymous with the Buccaneers.
The Away jersey introduces a bold, fresh concept. Inspired by Johannesburg’s dynamic energy, the jersey creatively reinterprets the city’s iconic flag through an abstract, flowing pattern of black and white.

The new jersey is available from 24 July at 09:00 online at adidas.co.za/orlando_pirates and Orlando Pirates Shop as well as in-store at selected adidas and retail outlets.
It is available in men’s, women’s, and kids’ sizes.
Back on the pitch, the former Marumo Gallants mentor Abdeslam, has signed a three-year contract.
He takes over from the successful coach Jose Riveiro, who broke records after one another.
The Moroccan-born mentor has been given a long-term contract to take the Buccaneers forward.
Former AS Vita Club coach is believed to have been given a straight three-year contract without an option to extend, which will run until June 2028, according to sources within the club.
Again, his thin CV has raised eye-brows within the Bucs fans, but just like Riveiro, who was labelled a ‘no-hoper’ upon arrival at the club and produced miracles, Abdeslam could also follow suit, provided he’s given time and his to be named new technical team.
