By popular demand, wine and food fest is back!

THE popular Pick n Pay Wine & Food Festival returns.

Its a must for wine lovers of all levels – whether you’re a casual sipper, seasoned enthusiast, or dedicated oenophile.

Enjoy an afternoon filled with elegance, sophistication and fun, featuring award-winning wines, gourmet food, and live music at The Wanderer’s Club in Illovo.

With over 50 of South Africa’s top wine estates pouring, you can explore everything from bold reds to crisp whites and summery rosés, as well as Cap Classique, Prosecco, and the ever-popular French Champagne. It celebrates all wine and bubbles, ensuring something to delight every palate.

The Pick n Pay Tasting Room experience deepens appreciation for wine and food and is hosted by different wine farms throughout the weekend. During the 30-minute session, wine producers and chefs expertly pair freshly prepared gourmet canapes with wines to create an engaging atmosphere for appreciating and enjoying the characteristics of the various wines.

Once you’ve whetted your appetite, pick up your pre-ordered picnic bag filled with Pick n Pay’s finest cheeses, cured meats, fresh bread, biltong, and hummus, or visit the Pick n Pay Fresh Food Market. This offers dishes prepared with fresh ingredients, such as fish and chips, fresh salads, sushi, indulgent cheese, and charcuterie boards. Pick n Pay’s Burger & Pizza Trucks will also serve their popular dishes.

With ample seating areas and lush lawns, it’s the perfect setting to relax, enjoy your favourite bottle, and soak up the festive atmosphere with live music throughout the day.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Pick n Pay Wine & Food Festival back to Johannesburg. This is more than just a tasting event – it celebrates South Africa’s incredible wine industry and our love for great food.
