Through this campaign Samsung are encouraging consumers to ‘Like’ the Samsung Mobile South Africa Facebook page, then go on to the Doodle and Win link to create their own unique pieces of art on the Galaxy Note tool (http://www.facebook.com/#!/SamsungMobileSA?sk=app_310382998986000).
The Facebook page will allow users to create their own doodle for Mandela with their own photos with every image uploaded matched by a R5 investment from Samsung.
The total money raised over this period will be divided between the development of another Solar Powered Internet School by Samsung and various charities for the development of libraries with the aim of driving access to information and the ability for underprivileged children to gain the required reading skills.
Says Deon Liebenberg, MD of Samsung South Africa; “Samsung is committed to investing in viable, tangible and measurable corporate social investment projects and this campaign is no different. It will not only align to our existing outreach and focus on education and skills development, but also encourage the larger South African community to become custodians of positive change.
Samsung’s relationship with The Nelson Mandela Foundation creates a perfect platform from which to ensure we reach our communities in need with a key element required for future sustainability – education!”
The Doodle for Nelson Mandela campaign is live on the Samsung website ( www.samsung.com) and still open to consumers to upload their images and create wonderful masterpieces with the Galaxy Note doodle function. Everyone should participate to show Samsung, The Nelson Mandela Foundation and South Africa as a whole, that its citizens really care about making a difference by getting involved in worthy causes and projects.
You will not only have the opportunity to enjoy our experiential exhibition, but our latest offering, the Samsung Galaxy Note will be available to create your Doodle for Mandela – which will then automatically be uploaded to the website.
“If you can’t make it to the Samsung Galaxy Note Studio Programme exhibition, visit the Samsung Mobile South Africa Facebook page and join in on the fun! We encourage consumers to become ambassadors of the message to create the impact that we are hoping to achieve through this project,” concludes Liebenberg.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Studio Programme will be visiting nine other malls across the country in upcoming months.
