AS expected Mamelodi Sundowns midfield maestro Lucas Ribeiro Costa won big at the 2024/25 PSL Awards.
The Brazilian collected four accolades at the awards on Tuesday evening.
The in-demand left footed player scooped the PSL Footballer of the Season, the Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season, Betway Premiership Goal of the Season, and Betway Premiership Top Goal Scorer.
Orlando Pirates ‘troublemaker’ Relebohile “Rele” Mofokeng won both the Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season and the MTN8 Last Man, respectively, on the night. He’s teammates trio of Sipho Chaine, Nkosinathi Sibisi, and Makhehleni Makhaula secured the Betway Premiership Goalkeeper, Defender, and Midfielder of the Season awards, respectively.
Rebeiro’s boss Miguel Cardoso was crowned Betway Premiership Coach of the Season.
Kaizer Chiefs winger Pule Mmodi earned top honours in the Nedbank Cup, walking away with the Player of the Tournament award.
Bucs’ Mbekezeli Mbokazi was recognised as the Most Promising Player of the Tournament, while Magesi FC’s Elvis Chipezeze received the Carling Knockout Player of the Tournament accolade for his standout performances.
In the Motsepe Foundation Championship, Muzomuhle Khanyi from Hungry Lions, won the Players’ Player of the Season and the Top Goal Scorer awards.
Teboho Lekhatla of Casric Stars was named the Young Player of the Season, while Dumsani Msibi of Durban City was recognised as Goalkeeper of the Season.
In the DStv Diski Challenge categories, Tylon Smith of Stellenbosch FC was named Player of the Season, while Orlando Pirates striker Siphamandla Msezane claimed the Top Goal Scorer award.
Match officials were also acknowledged, with Kgara Mokoena and Masixole Bambiso receiving the Assistant Referee and Referee of the Season awards, respectively.
Meanwhile, the PSL also released the 2025/26 MTN8 Quarter-finals fixture.
MTN8 defending champs Orlando Pirates face Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, August 2.
The game kicks off at 3pm.

The 2025/26 Betway Premiership season is scheduled for next weekend, but PSL has yet to release fixtures due to pending legal matter.
