EXSA awards recognises eventing and exhibition industry players’

Eventing and exhibition is huge in Southern Africa, if not world over.

As such, the Excellence Awards were established to recognize and celebrate excellence among those working behind-the-scenes in the exhibition and events industry in Southern Africa.

The role of EXSA is to serve the exhibition and events industry in South Africa. The core strategy is to actively grow and develop the exhibition and events industry.

This is achieved through promoting the unique benefits offered by exhibitions and events, and raising the profile of our members who include venues, organisers and suppliers.

At the ceremony on January 26 2017, the awards will recognize players who have shaped and continue to make strides within the industry that is estimated to contribute millions into the coffers of the GDP; and also recognized as one of major employers on the African Continent.

“The Excellence Awards has grown from strength to strength in recent years, and 2017 is set to be the most exciting year yet,” says EXSA General Manager Phumulani Hlatshwayo, former South African Tourism manager.

“EXSA is proud to announce a joint awards venture as we partner with fellow industry association AAXO (The Association of African Exhibition Organisers) for the inaugural Exhibition Industry Awards (EIA) two industry award ceremonies under one banner!

Because we believe in a united exhibitions and events industry – both associations have joined forces for the greater good of the industry,” says Hlatshwayo.

“Here at EXSA we know how to celebrate excellence – we’ve even named our awards after the word. But more importantly we know how to give great companies the recognition they deserve”.

The EXSA awards are scheduled for Thursday at TicketPro Dome, Northgate.

At the time of publishing it was unclear how many awards would be presented on the evening.
