IN a world where impact speaks louder than titles, the Fabulous Woman Awards returns for its 13th year, calling on South Africa to celebrate its unsung heroines — women who lead with integrity, courage, and vision.
This year’s theme, “The Journey,” invites us not only to honour the destination of achievement, but to reflect on the quiet resilience, bold decisions, and purpose-driven steps that get us there. It’s a call to action for established changemakers, emerging leaders, and everyday women who dare to make a difference — to be recognised, uplifted, and celebrated.
Founded in 2013 by esteemed businesswoman and philanthropist Pontsho Manzi, the Fabulous Woman Awards is more than an event — it’s a movement. Through the SLM Foundation, Manzi has worked to ignite ambition in South Africa’s youth, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, equipping them with skills and purpose to break barriers, build businesses, and lead with heart.
Pontsho shared: “I’m delighted to recognise the outstanding and excellent change agents who have done sterling work in poverty eradication and the empowerment and advancement of women and youth in South Africa.
I look forward to hearing more about their successes and endeavours over the coming months. The annual awards have been created to honour women who possess ethical leadership, vision, innovation, excellence and impactful community initiatives with the ultimate goal being to present role models for other women to aspire to.”
