Grimace has a reputation for spreading luck to global sporting teams. From inspiring basketball and baseball triumphs in the USA to now uplifting South African rugby, his presence seems to be the charm that teams need to succeed.

The Blitzboks’ victory was no exception, as Grimace joined the festivities, posed for photos, and even took part in the much-anticipated Mascot Race, bringing his infectious energy and joy to the crowds.

The tournament is already a highlight of Cape Town’s sporting calendar, but it became even more special with Grimace’s involvement. Fans, young and old, were treated to an atmosphere of excitement and unity as rugby enthusiasts celebrated both the Blitzboks’ success and the playful energy that Grimace brought to the day.

His presence underscored the power of sport to bring people together, creating shared moments of joy and celebration across the stadium.

Grimace’s South African journey, however, wasn’t limited to the rugby field.
