Heineken 0.0 alcohol free, you decide

Unveiled in SA last week at the Melrose Arch, with soaring temperatures the brand new alcohol- free lager brewed with a unique recipe for a distinct balanced taste – and only 69 calories per 330ml bottle, was had by all, including your famous celebs.

When we first heard of the idea of a Heineken that is alcohol free we were quite errr, not sure, but after thinking of all the other benefits of a beer like this, some we sold.

Yes, at times one feels like not having a beer and if- this is a substitute -me thinks twice.

Heineken 0.0 opens up new occasions for beer lovers or those making healthier lifestyle choices, without having to compromise on taste. Now you can enjoy the unique and refreshing taste of Heineken 0.0 any time of the day, whether after exercise or while watching an early morning game says, Heineken Marketing Manager, Lauren Muller.

HEINEKEN is committed to introducing new and innovative products to meet consumer needs.

HEINEKEN has seen strong growth in the alcohol-free segment and expects this to continue, driven by the global cultural trend of living a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Heineken® 0.0 gives consumers a choice for all their drinking occasions, without compromising on quality, says Muller.

Jokingly, my colleague commented this will only work if cops are on your case-thinking you consuming an alcohol beer.

“Removing alcohol from regular 5% Heineken ® beer would have been easy, but it wouldn’t deliver the best tasting non-alcoholic beer. Heineken®0.0 beer is brewed from scratch and has a perfectly balanced taste with refreshing fruity notes and soft malty body,” commented Willem van Waesberghe, Global Craft and Brew Master at Heineken®.

Either way- give me my original- as I sip it watching my favourite EUFA Cup battle.

It is available in the market- 330ml NRB bottle and a 330ml can.
