History made as Habana goes for jugular!

As we reported yesterday that US stand no chance against SA, the hapless USA were demolished 64-0.

HABANA
Can’t get, can’t tholakale. Bryan “Sprinter” Habana made history after equaling Jona Lomu’s 15 world cup rugby tries with a hat-trick yesterday.

This means South Africa march on to Twickenham now for a quarter-final on Saturday week against the loser of the match between Wales and Australia.

It would appear that any talk of their demise was premature – certainly if their power quotient was ever in doubt. Talk of their winning the tournament, though, might be a touch premature too.

There is plenty for them to tighten up if that is to happen, but they’re in good company there.

Only a fool would rule it out.

But as for Habana- despite modest and requesting not to be compared to Lomu- this is another history for a South African to be included in the annals of world rugby.
