She was found dead in the boot of her car at the upmarket Pecanwood estate in Hartbeespoort, North West.
His dehydrated son Mark Warona Zinde‚ 28‚ appeared briefly at the Brits Magistrate’s Court‚ in North West‚ on Monday.
A family friend apparently got worried when he failed to reach Zinde‚ 50‚ on her phone since Wednesday.
He is reported to have alerted the estate’s security and police when Mark allegedly refused to allow him into the house.
Police subsequently found her body in the boot of her car and arrested her son. They said over the weekend that they found him in possession of an illegal substance.
At the time of her death Hope was working for the controversial Prasa.
She was previously with SABC as a presenter and as board member as well.
