ITS about eco- system.
That’s the view of Peter Feng- Huawei South Africa’s Consumer Business Group, General Manager, at the launch of highly anticipated Huawei watch GT 4, this morning in Jozi, not far from the newly renamed Winnie Mandela Dr, previously William Nicol.
Wearables- is big in China and its no wonder the brand has decided to invest heavily in this flagship series globally. And South Africa is fast becoming next on wearables market.
Says Feng,” The Huawei wearables are celebrating 10th year in existence, with over 130million users in China and other countries are following suite,” he commented.
This timepiece, not so heavy on my left wrist- introduces elevated design features with powerful health and fitness functionalities. It takes a bold fashion-forward step up from the classic GT Series designs, introducing inventive design elements while retaining the modern geometric aesthetics of its predecessors.
According to Feng, it is ideal for fitness junkies- monitoring calories counting to weight control plans, and health enthusiasts can stay on track with calorie alerts and monitor their progress effortlessly. With support for over 100 sports modes, including Padel and more, fitness fanatics will never run out of ways to stay active.
Designed for both men and women- available at 46mm and 41 mm, respectively, they are available in three vibrant colour options with customisable Huawei Easyfit Straps, and watch faces.
It is sleek and a fusion of timeless elegance. Both watches are available in two sizes and designs: the 46mm version, featuring an eye-catching octagonal bezel for a polished, chiselled look, and the dainty 41mm version, resembling a chic bracelet that complements any outfit, from cocktail dresses to casual denim.
With loadshedding our ‘daily bread’ the battery watch life for GT4 46mm, can live up to standard 14 days, while the 41mm version can last up to 7 days.
This is revolutionarising the industry, says Akhram Mohamed- Huawei South Africa- Consumer Business Group VP of Operations.
Mohamed also took a step back and thanked this time-piece for saving his life, following the contraction of Covid-19, whereby he had to rely on the watch to keep up with gym, eating pattern and accurate data readings and deep insights about physiological metrics, all thanks to the power of AI algorithms. Yes, its all about eco-system.
The likes of Sir Mo Farah- an athlete, is the ambassador for the GT 4 smartwatches.
