Izinja zeGame prepares for the SA Sport Awards

THE 18th edition of the South African Sport Awards have been launched and nominees revealed.

This years’ theme ‘Celebrating Sporting Excellence’ will see the “Grammy of sport awards” held at mzansi’s favourite playground Sun City resort, Bokone Bophirima, on the evening of August 24.

He might be under pressure for racism tweets made some years’ ago, but the minister of Sport and Culture, Gayton McKenzi, is adamant the awards will leave to expectations.

He mentioned 19 categories, including the major award of the night ‘Sport Star of the Year’ which will be highly contested.

The athletes will exchange their sweaty gears for evening gowns and label designer suits, on the evening.
