Movie Room channel heralded by many as “talk of town” unveiled by television entrepreneurs

SERIAL television entrepreneurs unveil 24/7 entertainment channel to the public.

Because of their visionary thinking both Thabile Ngwato and Thokozani Nkosi, launched Movie Room, a new channel on DStv Channel 113 dedicated to showcasing a curated line-up of movies for every taste.

Through their Ngwato Nkosi Group, they already own the high-flying news channel Newzroom Africa.

“The Movie Room would provide viewers with more choice to enjoy entertainment for every mood in a curated line-up of local and international movies, carefully selected from the best blockbuster favourites and unforgettable classics.

“From gripping action to side-splitting comedy and stirring romance, there will be options for everyone,” says Ngwato, at the glittering event graced by A-list celebrities, influencers and media personalities.

“This is a bold next step in our ambition to build an African news and entertainment platform for the future. Newzroom Afrika has shown how we are able to build a loyal audience by putting viewers at the centre of everything we do, and we will use that experience to inform our approach with Movie Room,” commented Head of Channel, Malebo Phage.

Comedian par excellence Mpho Pops kept guests on their toes and award winning musician Shekinah did justice with her performance.

Some of the guests I had a chat with on the evening, believe this new channel will certainly be “talk of town” considering the resources and time invested in the release of it.

Drinks flowed and canapés were the order of the evening.

Movie Room is now live on DSTV channel 113.
