Ndlovu Choir (an elephant) to usher in Roger, Nadal, Gates and our own Trevor Noah at the much anticipated charity match

The much talked about match sees a battle on the SA soil for the very first time between two arch rivals and world’s tennis stars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal of which we dubbed “darlings of the world battling it out in Africa”.

This significant charity event sees the choir Ndlovu (an elephant) align with the Rodger Federer Foundation and the Zip Zap Circus in the belief that excellence is possible and achievable even out of dire circumstances.

All proceeds from the tennis match will go towards the Rodger Federer Foundation’s ongoing efforts to support educational projects in rural areas of Southern Africa.

Federer although is a Swiss born -has a South African blood through his mom Lynette who was an athlete during her hey-days.

Although in its 6th edition, it is the first time that the Match in Africa is to be played on the continent, between 20-time Grand Slam Champion Roger Federer and 18-time Grand Slam Champion and rival Rafael Nadal.

Celebrity guests Bill Gates and Trevor Noah will also take to the court in a celebrity-pro doubles match with Federer and Nadal.

At the time of publishing all tickets were sold out, according to Federer Foundation.

The games begin from 8pm.
