Pretoria lass wins Mahindra XUV 3X0 at the highly charged Fusion Fest

#TogetherWeRise #MahindraRise as Ntombhi Mkalipi from Pretoria drove away in a brand-new Mahindra XUV 3XO.

The overwhelmed winner was part of the national activations that began in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg, respectively.

The Mahindra Fusion Fest was a party not to be missed this past Saturday at SunBet Arena.

Artists brought their A-game, designers pulled stunts and fans brought the excitement to carry the night, as young and old entertainers came under one- to provide a fitting scene of the second edition of Mahindra Fusion Fest.

“The youthful vibrancy of the Rainbow Nation is something we experience every day across South Africa — in its music, fashion, art and the remarkable creativity of its people,” remarked the jubilant CEO at Mahindra SA- Rajesh Gupta.

“Fusion Fest was created to celebrate exactly that spirit. Inspired by the shared philosophies of Ubuntu and Vasudeva Kutumbakam (the world is one family), the festival brings together diverse voices and artistic expressions on one platform, reflecting Mahindra’s belief that communities grow stronger when they come together.

“This year, we also wanted to go beyond celebration and create opportunity. Through a nationwide talent search, supported by our dealer network, we invited emerging musicians, artists and fashion designers to showcase their talent, with winners receiving prize money and the opportunity to perform on a national stage. The incredible response we received from young creators across the country reinforces why platforms like Fusion Fest matter,” continued Maharaj, who swopped his suit for a designer T-shirt, as he danced night long with local and international guests.

Thando Micky was revealed as the winner of the music competition and also rewarded two runners-up with R10 000 each toward their professional careers.

Additionally, the festival showcased the work of Andile Cele as the winning novice fashion designer and Anda Mncayi as the winning creative artist.

“As Mahindra continues its journey in South Africa, initiatives such as this reflect our Rise philosophy in action — celebrating creativity, supporting communities and creating opportunities for the next generation to shine,” says the CEO.

Teary Mkalipi says she prayed hard to win this competition and finally won her dream car.

The festival itself is part of the Mahindra Group’s global cultural outreach, an initiative through which the Group supports and celebrates art and culture across the world.
