SAT appoints new advisory committee ahead of Tourism Indaba

THE 2025 Africa’s Travel Indaba 2025 has been scheduled from May 12 to 15, at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre, Durban.

As part of improving and ensure seamless execution of Indaba, the South African Tourism, who are the organisers of the trade show, has established an industry-led Advisory Committee.

The first of its kind, comprise of key industry players, influencers within the travel and hospitality sector.

According to SAT, they will meet weekly to address critical aspects of the show, working collaboratively to enhance its impact and deliver an even better experience for exhibitors and buyers.

Indaba welcomes over 25 000 countries and thousands of traders, media, key business figures, businesses and buyers, during the three- day event.

Apart from deals being signed, guests also get to see the glimpse of KwaZulu-Natal, tapestry and enjoy the Atlantic Ocean, amongst others.

“This initiative reinforces our commitment to partnership and collaboration as we drive decisions that represent and benefit the greater tourism sector, ensuring that Africa’s Travel Indaba remains a world-class business platform that drives real value for all participants,” read a media statement from SAT.

Focusing on key elements such as exhibitor and buyer engagement; logistical efficiencies; programme enhancements; and overall event quality, the Advisory Committee is comprised of the following members:

      •     David Frost – SATSA

      •     Suzanne Bayly – Classic Portfolio

      •     Kgomotso Ramothea – ATTA

      •     Andrew Camp – Sun International

      •     Dorcas Dlamini – Marriott

      •     Martin Botha – Tourvest

It takes place from May 12 to 15, at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre, Durban.
