THE larger than life journalist Tshidi Madia has been laid to rest in Germiston, Ekurhuleni.
The service took place this morning at San Salvador Catholic Church, attended by her colleagues from the media, politicians, friends and of course, family.
The seasoned journalist Madia, died last week after a short illness.
She was the EWN Associate Politics Editor and hosted her show “politricking” that hosted politicians to account.
What stood for many, was when she joined large media contingent to US with President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa, during that ‘bitter-sweet’ media conference with Pres Donald Trump, when she asked ‘when will Pres Ramaphosa speak’ that caught the attention of the world.
Since her passing, memorial services were held to remember her, and was revered as ‘dedicated and courageous journalist’.
At the time of her passing, she was 42.
Her father described her as a loving daughter who always cared and asked about my health and well-being.
