Kick-off 8:30pm.
Both nations will hope to use the fixture as a means of putting their World Cup qualification disappointment behind them, although South Africa’s agonising near-miss will no doubt give them added motivation when they take on their neighbours.
Bafana played their part with a 4-1 win over Botswana on Saturday, but Ethiopia’s victory in their clash with the Central African Republic saw them top Group A and progress to the final round of qualifying.
Zimbabwe, meanwhile, failed to register a single victory throughout their qualifying campaign, with two draws and four losses leaving them rooted to the bottom of Group G.
The likes of Belgium-based keeper Darren Keet and AmaZulu full-back Marc van Heerden are set to feature for Bafana with Igesund keen to expose some of the younger players to international football, while in-form striker Bernard Parker, who has netted five goals in his last seven matches at international level, is set to lead the line.
The Warriors came out on top the last time the teams met in November 2011, with Knowledge Musona doing the damage with a brace in the 2-1 victory in Harare, and the Kaizer Chiefs striker will once again be tasked with banging in the goals on Tuesday.
Musona’s club team-mates Kingston Nkhatha and Willard Katsande are also likely to play key roles for Ian Gorowa’s side in Johannesburg, while Khama Billiat and Cuthbert Malajila make up the rest of the PSL contingent, with the other members all based in Zimbabwe.
