“We believe that this long and successful sponsorship has run its course and would like to stress that the club’s performance and its management have contributed positively to this partnership.
“We reassess all aspects of our business on an annual basis and it was decided that we will be changing our sponsorship direction from 2014 onwards,” says Glendinning.
The contract comes to an end in December when the current one expires.
“We are confident that with the calibre of the team, the management and the players that “The Dube Birds” has, they will have little difficulty in finding a new sponsor for one of the oldest professional teams in South African soccer.
We will continue to follow their progress with great interest,” Glendinning adds.
Dube Birds were not available for comment.
