The 2025/26 Betway Premier Soccer League to get under this weekend

AFTER weeks of uncertainty as a result of legal issues on legitimacy of a player with a certain club, its time to grind and sweat!

League champs’ Mamelodi Sundowns will face Chippa United at Buffalo City Park Stadium, Gqerberha on Saturday, August 9.

The game kicks off from 15:00

Having thumped Richard Bay 4-0 in the MTN8 quarter-finals, and despite board-room politics on players, the Pretoria side is still focused on delivering on its mandate.

New-comers from Bokone Bophirima, Orbit College open their professional assignment against the wounded AmaZulu, who were beaten 3-2 by Stellies this past weekend in another MTN8 battle.

For Orbit they will have to dig deep and prove they’re no pushovers and a force to reckon with, considering the team is the only side representing the Platinum province, after years.

Having bolstered the squad with the likes of former Orlando Pirates striker, Monnapule Saleng and others, they should rattle the cage in the PSL.

The game is scheduled for Saturday 9, at Moses Mabhida Stadium. Kick off from 15: 00.

Orlando Pirates, who finished as runners-up in the last three seasons, play host as they welcome Sekhukhune United at Orlando Stadium, also on Saturday 9.

Richards Bay face Marumo Gallants in the afternoon.

Polokwane City versus Magesi FC in a Limpopo derby at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, in the afternoon.

Siwelele FC, now operating under the name of SuperSport United, will compete against Golden Arrows at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Kick-off 20:00.

On Sunday, newly promoted Durban City, led by coach Gavin Hunt, visit TS Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium.

On the same day, the on-song Stellenbosch FC has been matched with cold/hot blowing AmaKhosi.

Stellies’ outmuscled AmaZulu in the MTN8 quarters to make it to the semi-finals.

On the other hand, the Naturena outfit has not appeared in the top eight finish for the second consecutive season, not a good investment.

The game kicks-off at Athlone Stadium.
