INVERROCHE the pioneering South African gin brand rooted in the fynbos-covered dunes of Stilbaai, is proud to announce the Top 9 finalists of the inaugural House of Amber Housewarming Bartender Competition.
This transformative journey celebrates the artistry, innovation, and storytelling prowess of South Africa’s most talented bartenders.
Launched under the theme “From Roots to Revelation,” the competition is more than a showcase of mixology—it’s a movement.
Through immersive experiences and a progressive narrative, Inverroche is cultivating a new generation of brand storytellers who embody the brand’s “By Nature” philosophy and commitment to conscious luxury.
Following a series of high-energy regional qualifiers held in Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town from 20–22 October, the judges have selected three standout bartenders from each city to advance to the next phase of the competition.

These exceptional bartenders were evaluated on their use of Inverroche Amber Gin, creativity, presentation, taste, and storytelling flair. Each brought a unique interpretation of African inspiration, sustainability, and innovation to the bar, captivating both judges and guests with their craft.

What’s Next: The Stilbaai Bootcamp
The Top 9 will now journey to the Inverroche brand home in Stilbaai from 10–12 November 2025 for an immersive bootcamp experience. Here, they will deepen their understanding of Inverroche’s heritage, participate in sustainability workshops, and craft cocktails inspired by the golden hues of the African sunset.
The Grand Finale
The competition will culminate in a spectacular finale on 18 November 2025 in Johannesburg, where the finalists will present their signature Inverroche Amber creations to a panel of esteemed judges, including Lorna Scott, Inverroche’s founder.
One bartender will be crowned the official House of Amber Bartender, earning a cash prize and be featured in the Inverroche cocktail book.
