Walaza joins elite list of stars at Huawei

IN a quest to increase its ambassadorial profile, Huawei SA signs Bayanda Walaza, the youngest South African Olympic medallist.

Last year, the leading consumer group lured another swimming sensation and Olympian Gold medallist Tatanya Smith? .

At age 18, secured a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics as part of South Africa’s 4×100 meters relay team, becoming the first South African to win an Olympic medal whilst still in high school.

In the same year, Bayanda showcased his exceptional talent at the World Athletics U20 Championships in Lima, Peru, clinching gold in both the 100 meters and 200 meters events.

His personal bests stand at 10.13 seconds for the 100 meters and 20.34 seconds for the 200 meters, both achieved in Pretoria in 2024.

Bayanda’s inking the deal coincides with Huawei celebrating Chinese New Year, globally.

HUAWEI nova 13 and HUAWEI nova 13i that are now available on Huawei’s official website and at select retailers in South Africa.

The HUAWEI nova 13, available in Loden Green and Black, starts at R 12,999.00, and the HUAWEI nova 13i, available in Blue and White, starts at R 6,999.00.
