THE YEAR 2022 was a hard pill to swallow.
It brought challenges that we could not mitigate such as ailing economy, increased unemployment, poor infrastructure and dwindling rand.
But what took the cake is Eskom, that went as far as downgrading loadshedding to level 6. Poor marks for the utility.
For our media house we fought hard to keep our head-costs above due to declining Advertising, that meant reducing our staff complement. A hard decision but had no other option on offer.
ANC had its 55th elective congress and new NEC members were voted in, so was the re-election of Pres Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa. We hope as the ruling party it will implement those policies that would benefit the same people who voted them.
As we reflect on the year that was, we would like to wish our readers a Happy Xmas filled with love and peace; as we enter the New Year 2023.
Those traveling on roads, please be cautious. One life lost is too many!
