The defiant daughter of the late uMama Winnie and utata Nelson Mandela died this week,and will be buried next her Mom Winnie in Fourways on Friday morning.
This was confirmed by family member.
Outside the famous parent’s house in Soweto, Orlando the place was a hive of activities as locals and prominent figures came to send heartfelt messages. Guards were on standby as they ordered mourners to social distance and wearing of masks.
Zindzi was married, from her first marriage to businessman Zwelibanzi Hlongwane she has four children: Zoleka Mandela (1980), Zondwa Mandela (1985), Bambatha Mandela (1989) and Zwelabo Mandela-Hlongwane (1992).
In 2013 she remarried, to former South African National Defence Force member Molapi Motlhajwa.
She was (65) at the time of death.
ANC and other political parties have expressed messages of condolences.
The cause of death, though unconfirmed, could be Covid-19 related.
