Old School music fest new venue but still same line-up

Terrible twins on the decks. Vinnie and Christos will be at the Old School music fest on Saturday 3 June at Linksfield.

The decision to change venues has to do with venue capacity and the environmental impact on the neighbouring communities.

But the artists’ line-up and programme is still the same.

According to the festival promoter Deon Mama, the decision to move the event was taken jointly by the promoters Jazz Foundation & Global Event Entertainment, The Wanderers Club and Emergency Management Services due to concerns around safety.

“We hope the move to the new venue and date does not inconvenience fans, but believe the decision to do so was prudent and we look forward to an amazing festival,” said promoter.

The venue is celebrated for having hosted major events such as the Dstv music fest, etc.

Tickets purchased for the event will be valid for the festival next week (this week), or alternatively ticket holders can get a full refund from Computicket.

The fest features Hip-Hop, R&B, Afro-Soul, Jazz and Kwaito on 3 different stages.

Sultry Monique Birmingham forms part of the fest, alongside Da Les, HHP, Nathi, Vusi Nova and Thebe.

The DJs line-up is a mixture of young and vintages from Vinny da Vinci, Christos, Ralf Gum, Dimplez, Vigilante, Milkshake and others.

If you thought Zola, Tuks, Mapaputsi and Cleo’s epithet has been written and buried you’re mistaken as they form part of the fete.

Back 2 the Old School International promises the beginning of a series of events and digital content that will pay homage to the pioneers of music to South Africans and neighboring countries who simply love their music.

Ticket ranges from R290 (GA) to R1800 (VIP) and available at Computicket outlets.

We’re STILL giving away 10 double tickets to the music show.
