A call to SA and the world- help TLC center before it shuts down

Facing dire situation. The founder of The Love of Christ -Home based center for children- Thea Jarvis (in a jersey) is making an appeal to the SA and the world to help with existence of the center or it will be forced to shut down in the next six months. If the situation does not change it means these boys and other kids will no longer be fended for and will remain homeless.

After 25 years of dedicated, passionate advocacy and the mission to provide a refuge for any baby or child in need of care whether they have been abandoned, neglected, orphaned or abused – The Love of Christ has announced they will be closing in 6 months due to financial and structural challenges within the organisation.

Founded by the Jarvis family in the same year as South Africa’s democracy in 1993, TLC Children’s Home began with the mission to provide a refuge for any baby or child in need of care.

To consider remaining open the child and youth care centre need to receive the mandatory TLC operational requirements to pay off the R1-million debt and secure committed, reliable monthly funding of R350 000.

TLC, has currently raised 50% of their R1-million debt and have 311 cots adopted of their 3500 target.

As SLM, would like to help support TLC Children’s Home and ensure they remain open and continue the selfless work they have been doing for 25 years.

It is based in Bronkhorstfontein- Johannesburg South.

Lets rally around and lend a hand folks- it’s an appeal to everyone.
