Duo/Group of the Year: Black Motion, Ofeleba
Best Maskandi Album: Thokozani Langa and Mbuzeni
Best Traditional Faith Album: Lebo Sekgobela, and Spirit of Praise
Collaboration of the Year: Producer Sun-El’s Sonini featuring Simmy and Black Coffee.
Best African Adult Contemporary Album: Nathi Mankayi, Anatii, Encore, Ntokozo Mbambo and Nqubeko Mbatha and Tabia.
Best Kwaito/Gqom/Amapiano Album: Distruction Boyz and Sho Madjozi.
Best Hip Hop Album: AKA- Touch My Blood
The awards will pay tribute to late rapper HHP, TKZee and Mango Groove for their role in developing music in the country.
SAMAs will be broadcast live on SABC 1 on Saturday at 8pm. The red carpet starts at 7.30pm.
Meanwhile, all eyes will be on the sought –after goodie bag valued at R17 000 each.
The total value of the bags to be handed out to presenters and performers is reportedly R2.2m.
The swag bags comprise of gadgets, fashion pieces and refreshing beverages. Damn- yours truly will not get his hands on any of the bags.
