Award winning reality show returns!

The 13 episode series is scheduled to air at 21:00 starting from the Tuesday 5 November 2013 and will reveal a totally new look and format.

This season will be presented by Aaron Moloisi, who is no stranger to our local SABC screens.

“I am excited to be part of a show that creates a platform for experienced business people to engage with business innovators… the inspiring ideas that South Africans come up with about how to create employment, grow the economy and change people’s lives,” enthuses Moloisi.

This original South African concept aims to challenge and educate small businesses on the trials and tribulations of running a successful business. The series is meant to drive Mzansi’s entrepreneurship and business creativity by pitting 52 business-savvy innovators, entrepreneurs and wanna-bees in a head to head battle to be awarded venture capital to enhance and evolve their businesses, themselves and their ideas.

Participants will have to pitch their ideas to high-powered investors and their advisors. Investors will have the final say as to whether they will invest in the business or not. Be warned that they are not here to give cash away, if they like the idea, they want to own a fair share of it.

The group of Investors includes: Nazeem Martin & Gerrie van Biljon (The Managing Director and Executive Director of Business Partners Limited), the dynamic duo – Ran Neu-Ner and Gil Oved (founders & joint CEO’s of South Africa’s biggest activations agency, The Creative Council) and Khutso Mampeule (Founder & Chairman of Lefa Holdings)

Rize Mzansi’s top floor is the place where entrepreneurs are given a once in a life-time opportunity to convince multi millionaire business moguls to invest in their ideas.

Each thrilling episode see’s two sets of hopeful entrepreneurs going head to head for an investment and partnership with some of the most successful entrepreneurs in Africa. However there is a catch, no matter how brilliant both entrepreneur’s ideas are, only one or none of them will be chosen.

Backing the investors is the advisor, a shrude business guru who will help decide whether the wannabe entrepreneurs are in fact investable.

Dichaba Phalatse, SABC1 Portfolio Manager: Entertainment, had this to say: “SABC 1 is contributing towards economic development in many ways, however Rize Mzansi is our most proud investment channel is making in alleviating unemployment and encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit in the youth of South Africa. Rise Mzansi’s new format is aligned with international trends yet keeping it truly Mzansi Fo Sho.

What a great presenter and a remarkable panel of venture capitalists!”
