Downs and Bafana defender launches foundation to help his community

THE inaugural Grant Kekana Foundation (GKF) Golf Day, was a resounding success.

The Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana defender hosted the Golf Day at the sought-after Euphoria Golf & Lifestyle Estate, Limpopo on June 15, a day before June 16.

“Today has been nothing short of spectacular. The support we’ve received reaffirms my belief in the power of sports and community to bring about positive change. The Grant Kekana Foundation is dedicated to making a difference, and today was an indication of that,” commented Kekana.

The golf tournament featured participants from diverse background and was rounded off with a gala dinner; that had Golf enthusiast and chairperson of the Limpopo Tourism Agency, Andrew Dipela, and Grant Kekana’s mother, and minister Pinky Kekana, amongst others.

Each of the 18 holes was proudly sponsored by brands, that included Mmirwa Power, EXXARO and Oratilwe.

“It was heartwarming to see our community come together in such a meaningful way to support the Foundation. The funds raised will make a significant impact on our youth development programmes and initiatives”, concluded Grant Kekana.
