THE country has shown its support for Miss South Africa, Mia le Roux, but now the reigning queen needs all South Africans to vote for her ahead of the 73rd Miss Universe pageant which takes place in Mexico City, Mexico, on Saturday, November 16.
So join the Mia le Roux Movement and vote for her as she makes history as the first-ever deaf contestant at the Miss Universe competition, where she will highlight South Africa’s diversity and promote inclusivity.
South Africans are the front runners of global pageantry, breaking barriers, disrupting the beauty industry and setting the norms and standards that the rest of the world follows.
Le Roux will showcase South Africa’s cultural heritage, its wonderful flora and fauna, its magnificent beaches and mountains and – most importantly – its generosity of spirit, seen in the country’s commitment to Ubuntu.
At her official farewell last week, Le Roux revealed her official advocacy campaign, the Mia le Roux Movement, as part of Miss Universe’s Voice for Change initiative.
To this end, she will also stand up for human rights for everyone (as outlined in the UN Sustainability Development Goal 10 which aims to empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex or disability.)
