Bucs, Stellies make it to the MTN8 finals, again. Mbombela Stadium is the host venue

UPDATE: ITS round two.

Last season Stellenbosch FC and Orlando Pirates were finalists in the MTN8 Cup finals, in Durban.

In the 2025/26 football season, both clubs will face each other again in the Wafa Wafa finale.

Feisty Stellies drew 1-1 draw against Sekhukhune United in the tournament’s second-leg semi-final clash at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday night.

As a result, the Cape wineland outfit progressed to the finals with a 3-1 aggregate score.

Bucs progressed to the final for the fourth successive time after securing a 4-1 victory on penalties following a 1-1 draw over two-legs, against Mamelodi Sundowns.

PSL confirmed, today, Mbombela Stadium, Nelspruit, will host the Wafa Wafa finals on September 13.

The game will kick-off at 18:00.

Ticket prices will be confirmed at later stage.
