The flawless Qhawekazi Mazaleni- 2025 Miss SA!

HEARTY congratulations to the new Miss South Africa Qhawekazi Mazaleni.

The 24 year-old from Gonubie, Eastern Cape was crowned the 2025 Miss SA, at the prestigious event, held at Sunbet Arena, Pretoria on Saturday evening.

The speech and language therapist, is a Stellenbosch University graduate, currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Pretoria, with her research focused on autism.

Moment after her reigning she told audience: “As your Miss SA, my heart’s intent is to ensure inclusive education. You are not just Miss South Africa; you are an agent of change. I am going to create a legacy of change.”

Qhawekazi’s reign will focus on inclusive education and multilingual learning, echoing the country’s broader mission to empower youth and boost literacy.

She succeeds previous Miss SA- Mia le Roux.

Luyanda Zuma was crowned first princess, and Karabo Mareka took home the second princess title, respectively.

This multilingual beauty also pockets a cool R1-million cash prize, a fully furnished luxury apartment, and a collection of sponsorships and gifts.

As the first ambassador of the organisation’s new Empower Youth Africa (EYA) initiative, she will also focus on creating scalable and sustainable social-impact initiatives that focus on Women and Youth.

“Leadership involves responsibility. I want to be an ambassador with deep purpose and a voice that reflects this country.

I intend to take EYA very seriously during the coming year of my reign and ensure that everything I and my fellow finalists do, is anchored in impact and can be measured when I hand over,” commented the gorgeous Qhawekazi, who appeared in short-hair brush.
