Jetour takes over Summer Cup race

“THIS year’s Betway Summer Cup, the first for Jetour, was all things style and excitement, and we felt privileged to be part of it.

Seeing our vehicles on display alongside South Africa’s finest racing and entertainment was a fantastic experience for our brand and our guests,” says Nic Campbell, Vice-President of Jetour South Africa.

The 2025 Betway Summer Cup held at the Turffontein race course, had a whopping R6million on offer for the winner on November 29.

For Jetour, as mobility partner, it was a case of showing credence within the motoring sector and fashion alike, having debuted its latest Jetour T1 and T2 models, respectively in Cape Town, a month ago to the public, who made time for snaps along the models, under the sunny weather.

Adding to the day’s fashion and flair was Jetour’s collaboration with Creative Director Mzukisi Mbane of Imprint, who dressed the brand’s hostesses and promotional staff, made sure our glasses are never short of ‘forbidden-waters’ as canapés flowed.

This acclaimed Afro-Futuristic Pan-African fashion house has become known for its bold prints and rich storytelling.

The partnership, with Summer Cup, reflects Jetour’s vision of offering South Africans with more than just mobility, but also lifestyle, travel and exceptional experiences that enrich and elevate daily life.

Jetour’s dynamic, performance-driven vehicles and the high-energy racing atmosphere made the partnership the perfect fit to profile Jetour’s bold, stylish and premium lineup.

“With so many people attending the Betway Summer Cup and many experiencing Jetour vehicles for the first time, we’re excited to welcome even more fans to the brand in the year ahead,” commented Campbell.

Mauritzfontein homebred Mocha Blend, previously owned by the Oppenheimers, won the richest race on the evening, despite an unfortunate incident were jockeys’ had to be transported to hospital and horses attended to, after they ran onto each other, resulting in the delay of the race during the day.
