OOHS and ahhs reverberate at the unveiling of latest T-series by the Jetour brand.
It comes in the T-Series i-DM, more specifically the T1 i-DM & T2 i-DM: A new generation of plug-in hybrid SUVs designed for modern urban lifestyles that combine adventure capability, performance, efficiency and intelligent electric mobility.
The SunBet Arena in Pretoria was the venue, that also hosted dealership awards to winners who did not disappoint in terms of dress code.
With fuel skyrocketing due to US and Israel fighting Iran, for hybrid mobility owners this would sound like a relief, as a result some have saved thousands of rands on fuel spending.
The T-Series i-DM has an intelligent energy management system which optimises performance and efficiency. Fast, flexible charging further enhances the appeal of this PHEV range, with rapid DC charging enabling a 30–80% recharge in under 30 minutes, and ultra-low fuel consumption from just 1.1L/100 km.
The sophisticated hybrid powertrain will deliver seamless acceleration and a refined driving experience, with an impressive combined output of up to 265 kW, the PHEV models offer a combined driving range of over 1 200 km, while also enabling pure electric driving for everyday use.
This dual capability allows drivers to experience zero-emission city driving with the reassurance of extended range.
On the Travel+ concept, jubilant as ever, Andy Yuan -Jetour Auto boss says the: “Travel+, for us at Jetour, is rooted in the belief that travel carries warmth and emotion. It reflects our desire for adventure, the comfort of journeys shared with family, and the freedom to explore on our own.
At its core, it’s about connecting our products with your lifestyle, through vehicles that prioritise spacious comfort and intelligent technology, supported by a user-focused ecosystem of services and solutions designed around real travel needs.”
The latest Jetour T1 and T2, features striking, modern SUV styling with a distinctive rugged edge, complemented by signature lighting elements, premium wheel designs, and a panoramic glass sunroof.
It also offers world-class technology, and the interior features expansive dual-screen displays with seamless connectivity, wireless charging, and ambient lighting to enhance comfort, alongside a high-end audio system and advanced infotainment for a truly connected drive.

“The introduction of our PHEV models is an important strategic step for Jetour as we continue to balance sustainable mobility with meaningful user value,” says Nic Campbell, Vice President of Jetour South Africa.
“From an environmental perspective, these vehicles help reduce carbon emissions, aligning with the global shift toward greener development. At the same time, in a market where energy costs continue to fluctuate, PHEVs offer real practical benefit by lowering fuel consumption and helping users reduce their day-to-day running costs”.
“i-DM technology brings together the best of both worlds: electric efficiency for everyday commuting and fuel-powered confidence for longer journeys. We believe this makes it an especially well-suited solution for the South African market,” continued Campbell.
The introduction of latest PHEV models follows on the heels of 5-seater Dashing and 7-seater X70 Plus, respectively.
According to the Chinese manufacture, sales of the T-Series now exceed 4587 within only six months, and with the introduction of plug-in hybrid (PHEV/ i-DM) means they don’t want to be lagging behind in the green energy sector.
The T-Series i-DM are now available at over 55 dealerships countrywide, and are priced from:
R 689 900 for the T1 i-DM
R 779 900 for the T2 i-DM
