Due to popular huge demand, the organisers agreed on the extension so as to allow enough entries in the name of transparency and fairness to avoid any form of favouritism that awards are usually synonymous with.
These awards are created to honour, recognise and appreciate Kwaito and House music in South Africa, as well as provide a platform for artists associated with this genre.
Kwaito and House music are uniquely and proudly SA genres as such we need to be preserve and protect them, read the media statement.
