Since South Africa is the only African
Continent represented, why not the entire Africa cast their votes?
This was confirmed by the Stadium Management South Africa (SMSA), who manages FNB Stadium or ‘Calabash’ as referred to by multitude of fans worldwide.
“It’s an honour for us managing FNB Stadium to have the biggest sporting spectacle on the southern hemisphere which takes place at our facility competing against other international acts.
We ask for all South Africans to give support by casting their vote before the 12 May deadline,” commented Sisa Majola- Communications Manager at SMSA.
The awards take place in Dublin- Ireland, June 22 2017.
Stadium Business Awards recognises leadership, innovation and achievement in the delivery, operation and management of sports facilities globally, with this a top recognition for the biggest sporting showpiece on the southern hemisphere that is played in front of sold-out crowds at FNB Stadium.
Fellow South Africans (including other African States) have been asked to vote for the Fan Experience of the Year, the only category judged by the public.
The voting lines close on Friday 12 May 2017 at midnight.
The category is contested by the likes of Matchday at Etihad Stadium (Manchester City FC), UK; Touchpoint-driven Red Thread Team at Anfield (Liverpool FC), UK and Integrated fan experience at Golden 1 Center (Sacramento Kings), USA, amongst others.
