Black Motion’s Ballantine’s Beat of Africa album ready for launch

Highly spirited. Duo Black Motion will unveil their six months campaign Ballantine’s Beat of Africa album launch on Saturday.

After criss-crossing five African Continents, searching for Ambassadors the campaign ends on a high note this week by revealing the lucky stars.

The purpose of the campaign: to collect, curate and collaborate using everyday sounds, rhythms, and beats to co-create one album: The Ballantine’s Beat of Africa.

Since Black Motion is our local product (SA) they’ve been to Angola, Cameroon, Zambia and Mozambique, on a mission to reflect the albums sound of a Continent that has risen from the streets where people live and walk each day.

On Saturday, the Ballantine’s Beat of Africa album launch fete will embody true African, albeit its’ unknown as yet how many tracks are available.

But having grown to Black Motion’s music, expect drums beating like demons possessed and guests on their toes as if there’s no tomorrow!

“When we are in studio, we don’t like to rush things – we take our time. We are not intimidated by the next big thing or act, we stay true to ourselves and we stay true to our music,” says Black Motion, upon completing the Beat of Africa album.

The duo (Bongani Mohosana and Thabo Mabogoane) are 2017 SAMA Album of the Year, Duo Group Album & Dance Album nominees.
