The inaugural Amapiano Africa Summit to be hosted in Jozi

WHAT continues to define SA’s genre of music, has turned out to be a living for many.

The Amapiano genre, founded and established in mzansi continues to set the world ablaze with top stars, athletes and ordinary folks dancing to it!

From Jay-Z to Drake to Davido, from SA’s Grammy award winner Tyla to Major League, from football star Ronaldo to billionaires, Amapiano is hymn all and sundry is singing from.

This has captivated the world audience, as a result, the Amapiano Africa Summit has been scheduled from July 18 to 20, 2024 at BMW Building, Newtown, Jozi.

Amapiano has positioned South Africa as a premier cultural destination, showcasing the nation’s creativity and innovation.

The summit will bring under one roof, key industry professionals, passionate youth, Amapiano enthusiasts, visionary fashion designers, and innovative brands, in attempt to forge connections, and pave the way for the future of Amapiano in SA and globally.

The South African Tourism, mandated to market and promote SA locally and internationally, will be partaking in the three-day Summit.

As part of their participation, SAT will deliver an address at the gala dinner on 18 July, discussing the significance of Amapiano in promoting South African tourism.

“Additionally, we will host the ‘Amapiano International Impact’ panel discussion on the 19 July, bringing together industry experts to explore the genre’s global influence and its role in positioning South Africa as a cultural hub,” says Thembi Sehloho, Chief Marketing Officer at South African Tourism.

“We invite all stakeholders, media representatives, and the general public to join us in celebrating the Amapiano phenomenon and exploring its potential to elevate South Africa’s cultural and tourism landscape.”

“The participation of South African Tourism in the Amapiano Africa Summit underscores our commitment to promoting South Africa as a vibrant and dynamic cultural destination. This event provides a unique opportunity to showcase the rich cultural heritage of South Africa, drive international tourism, and foster socio-economic growth,” commented Sehloho.
