This follows their 1-0 loss to marauding Witbank Aces last night at FNB Stadium.
This is the second loss for Kaizer Chiefs who last weekend lost to current log leaders and potential Absa title winners for this season Mamelodi Sundowns, who won 1-0 also last night.
During post interviews, coach Stuart Baxter said they did everything right but luck again was not on their side.
Baxter could also be blamed for using the same starting 11 which lost to Downs over the weekend but again, this is football and he saw nothing untoward going that route.
Unfortunately, that arrogancy came back to haunt him!
Chiefs hopes of defending their title are slowly fading away- with only couple of games to go.
Perhaps, this is the season coach Baxter, technical team and the club at large, would like to forget considering they were knocked–out of the African Champs League.
This weekend they face SuperSport in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals, and as current champs of the cup this could as well be their only solace for this season.
The absence of senior player such as Josta Dladla –suspended due to illegal use of banned substance- might have an effect in the team.
One may ask, are Glory days at Naturena over?
