Asata's benefit, Holiday Tour's loss!

Holiday Tours, online tour operator and a brand of Comair Travel, today announced the resignation of Otto de Vries, Comair Travel Operations Manager, effective from 15 December 2012. In his new position he will be heading up ASATA, the representative forum for the South African Travel Industry.

Erik Venter, CEO of Comair says, “We wish Otto all the best in his new role. It is a huge opportunity for him in what is a very important and strategic position within our Industry. Utilising his strengths and abilities, he is certainly equipped to deal with the many shifts and changes effecting all industry players currently.”

Iain Meaker, Executive Manager for Travel at Comair will be assuming De Vries’ daily responsibilities. “De Vries has developed and nurtured a very strong team of individuals who are now very capable of delivering on the new vision Holiday Tours has, to support its loyal travel agent partners, as well as supporting growth and additional distribution on Comair’s growing route network,” says Venter.

Holiday Tours remains on track in its rebirth as an on-line tour operator that supports agents with their direct selling needs.  It has implemented a number of customer facing branded systems for travel agents, putting them firmly in control of their online strategies with significant real time inventory and products.
